I am a 1994 graduate of Valley High School. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Auburn University in 2001. I received my Master of Education degree in Mathematics from Alabama State University in 2012.

This is my third year at Lanett City Schools. I previously taught 7th grade Mathematics for 3 years at W.F. Burns Middle School in Valley. I am currently an Adjunct Mathematics Instructor for Southern Union State Community College where I teach Intermediate Algebra and Remedial Math classes.

I was born and raised in Chambers County. I grew up in Lanett in the West Shawmut community. I am married to Carlos Hodge. Together we have 4 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy singing, watching TV, and reading inspirational books. I attend O.H. Ministries in Lanett, AL where I am on the Praise Team, work with the Youth Ministry, and the Pastor's Aid Committee. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I fell in love with Lanett School System back in 2009 when my son first attended Lanett High School. From the very first day, I felt the love from the students, teachers, and administrators. They really showed how much they truly cared about the students and their academic success.

Last year was awesome! We did several fun activities where the students problem-solved through collaboration and team building. This year we anticipate more engaging activities and hands-on learning through the use of AMSTI. I am excited about this school year; and I know that is it going to be GREAT!
