"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
-Rep. John Lewis
I graduated from Central High School of Clay County in May 2015. Afterward, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Science/Education from Auburn University in May 2019.
This is my first year at Lanett Junior High School. I previously taught at Russell County Middle School.
I am from a very small community in east-central Alabama called Coleta Valley, but I went to school at CHSCC in Lineville, Alabama. I enjoy being outdoors, primarily for hunting or fishing. I love to read, and my favorite book is The Lord of the Rings. I also enjoy playing or watching football, baseball, and basketball.
When it comes to education, I believe that a student is more willing to learn from someone they know cares about them. This is why I believe that relationships are so important between teachers and students! Every student makes an impact on my life, and it is my hope that I can do the same.
