About

Lanett Junior High School Bulding

At Lanett Junior High School, we believe in creating an environment where students learn while having fun! Our staff members love coming to work and this love flows to our students. On any given day, you can find students engaged in hands-on activities, creating experiments, working with Chromebooks, visiting our school library, and many more educational activities. We have four houses similar to Ron Clark Academy: sebenza, Ubuntu, folami, and lunanga. Students “spin the wheel” during the first year to determine which house they will be a member of while they are at LJHS.

Our Mission Statement

Lanett City Schools will provide a supportive and rigorous educational environment that produces responsible, self-motivated students who are prepared for the future.

All students can learn when provided a safe and supportive environment, strategies to address Learning barriers, and high-quality instruction.

  • Students success requires teamwork among staff, students, families, and the community.

  • Progress in education requires a willingness to change.

  • All students will graduate college or career ready.
