Lanett City Schools would like to remind all parents and guardians that schools will be closed on Monday, May 26th, as we observe Memorial Day. This day is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
We encourage you to take some time to reflect and remember. Enjoy the extended weekend with your loved ones. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

👏 Kudos to the future leaders who participated in Principal Haslam’s Roundtable! 🐾💬
Our students appreciated the opportunity to be heard, and we are proud to provide a space where their voices matter. At W.O. Lance Elementary School, we value student feedback and believe they should play a vital role in the decisions that shape their school experience.
During the roundtable, students shared their thoughts and ideas for the upcoming school year. Their excitement about the amazing things ahead — including the many great additions planned for 2025-2026 — was truly inspiring.
🌟 Greatness awaits, and it starts with them!
