Parents and Guardians, please make note of the following schedule for Report Card Pick-Up on Friday, March 20, 2026:
🕚 Early Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM and buses will run as scheduled.
🚸 Campus Clearance: All students must leave campus by 11:45 AM.
🚪 Office Closure: The school office will be closed to the public from 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM while staff prepare for report card distribution.

Urgent: All Lanett City Schools will transition to an E-Learning Day!
Please be advised that power has not yet been restored at W.O. Lance Elementary. Due to this ongoing outage and the impact on our operations, all Lanett City Schools campuses will be closed to students today, March 12, 2026. Students will complete their assignments electronically in Schoology. Students in grades PK-1 will receive their make-up work later this week. Staff should report to their campus and more information will be provided by your principal.

From History to Hope — LJH scholars experienced an unforgettable day of learning and reflection at The Legacy Museum in Montgomery, connecting classroom learning to powerful real-world history.
Exploring History, Building Unity — Students from LJH visited the historic New Hope Rosenwald School—part of the Rosenwald initiative that built nearly 5,000 schools across the South in the early 1900s to educate African American children through a partnership between Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington. Afterwards, students strengthened collaboration and leadership skills through team-building activities at West Point Dam.
Black History at LJH- Honoring the Past, Empowering the Present. LJH students took a powerful trip down memory lane through engaging Black History presentations—strengthening their learning through thoughtful peer review and feedback.
Students are diving deep into poetry—Annotating, Analyzing, and Unpacking meaning with Ms. Nelson modeling and guiding the way. At LJH, our instruction reflects aligned standards-based practices: teacher modeling, guided annotation, and analytical discourse.
At LHJ, students are “Growing in Knowledge and the Word"!!! EveryThursday morning, LJH students are afforded the opportunity to learn more about the Word, presented by Pastor Randall and TRUTH Ministries. We are thankful for our partners in Christ and there dedication to our scholars.
