We will administer the PreACT for all SOPHOMORES on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and Wednesday, Oct. 2. The ALSDE requires that all sophomores take this exam. Please be sure that your child is at school ON TIME for both of these days. They should get a good night's sleep before and have breakfast. The PreACT has many benefits for students, so they should TRY THEIR BEST!

LHS and LJHS will host Multicultural Family Night: A Hispanic Heritage Fiesta on Monday, October 14th, from 4:30-6:30 PM in the LHS Gym. LHS & LJHS Students who participate will receive 5 bonus points to use toward a test of their choice, excluding 9-week exams. Parents must sign in for the student to receive the reward.

The investigation revealed that there was not a threat.

On Friday, September 20th, students will be allowed to dress down in either Black/Gold/Panther attire OR fluorescent colors (Please follow the dress-down day guidelines on page 16 of the Student Handbook). The theme of the Pep Rally is Glow in the Dark. Student Council members will paint faces and sell glow-in-the-dark accessories before school and during Enrichment on the day of the pep rally.

All students can dress down, but to attend the Pep Rally, students must meet the following criteria: No referrals, unexcused absences, or tardies to school during the week of September 16-20.

Homecoming Week is almost here and we would love for our alumni and community groups to join us in the Homecoming Parade! If you or your organization are interested in participating in the parade, please complete a Parade Entry Form and submit it to the Lanett High School main office by September 23rd, 2024 @ noon. The Parade Entry Form can be found on the school website under Important Documents.

The parade will begin at 2:00 pm in the LHS Parking lot on September 27th, 2024.
Lineup begins immediately following the pep rally, no later than 1:45 pm. The parade will follow the traditional route down South 8th Avenue, turn right at W.O. Lance Elementary School, turn left at the fountain in downtown, proceed down North Lanier Avenue, and end at the Cherry Valley Shopping Center.

Football Week Four is at home vs Greenville, GA! Kickoff is at 8 PM ET and gates will open at 7 PM ET. Tickets are $8 for everyone aged five and up. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan beginning Thursday after 4 PM. You can also pay cash at the gate. There are NO PASSES OUT. Guests who leave will have to purchase a new ticket to enter again. The LCS Clear Bag Policy will be enforced and all guests will participate in a security check.

Freshmen and Sophomores will dress like a rock star; Juniors and Seniors will dress like a country star.
*Tuesday, 9/24-Senior Citizen Day
Students will dress as elderly people, including vintage or traditional clothing your grand or great-grandparents would wear, grey wigs, etc.
*Wednesday, 9/25-Wild Out Wednesday
Students will dress in tacky, or mismatching, attire and accessories.
*Thursday, 9/26-Jersey Day
Students will wear their favorite sports jersey. Please wear a t-shirt under your jersey if it is sleeveless or mesh.
*Friday, 9/27-Show Your Pride Friday
Students will show their school pride by wearing black and gold and/or Panther attire.
